WeLoveCruising Posted November 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2007 As I was posting my menus from our recent cruise on the Noordam, I remembered that each of the dessert menus had a "Dessert Shooter". These were layered "shooter" type drinks that sold for $5.95 each. I dont know if they're new or not - but I dont remember seeing them before. I didnt have any on the ship, but looking at this I think I'm going to make myself a "Beam Me Up Scotty" tonight  Chocolate Covered Cherry Cherry Brandy, Crème de Cacao White, and Baileys Love Boat Tia Maria, Crème de Banana, and Bailey’s Beam Me Up Scotty Kahlua, Frangelico, and Bailey’s American Flag Grenadine, Crème de Cacao White, and Blue Curacao Shooting Stars Malibu, Captain Morgan, Kahlua, and Bailey’s Doppio Vanilla Vodka, Kahlua, and espresso After Eight Kahlua, Crème de Menthe, Bailey’s 727 Kahlua and Bailey’s
JDOUGLEJ Posted November 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Are the after dinner shooters available with a different souvenir glass each evening like on RCCL. DW just loves those high priced little souvenirs that she proudly displays in one of her china cabinets. :p

Krazy Kruizers Posted November 16, 2007 #7 Share Posted November 16, 2007 HMMM - didn't have anything like that offered on any of our 4 Maasdam cruises, 2 Volendam cruises - plus a bunch of others. In fact the last time I remember anything like that on the dessert menus was way back on the Statendam in 2004.
Moriah Posted November 16, 2007 #8 Share Posted November 16, 2007 I had a shooter every night after dinner on the Noordam last summer. They had one on the menu every night - a different one each night, and you could keep the glass. The glasses have different colored "balls" at the bottom and for some reason I had this desire to collect all the different colors. Our wine steward(ess) was SO sweet. I really liked the shooter from the second night so she had them fix it for me every night, and she ran herself ragged making sure I had a different color glass each night! Turned out there were only 5 colors altogether and she apologized profusely for having to duplicate the last two nights! What a sweetie. I gave away the doubles and have my little collection of HAL shooter glasses displayed in my office. Like so many other souvenirs, they remind me of cruisin' through life! :)
lillulu Posted November 16, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 16, 2007 I did not see this offered recently on the Volendam but I have to ask...are the shooter glasses like a shot glass? I happen to collect shot glasses from every where I go and would love to keep a look out for those if they are.
