2serendip Posted December 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2007 Does anyone know why the December 21 Summit cruise has decreased our port days by one of the two on Oahu? We're sure going to be at sea a lot. I hope they have some great activities for us.
LuLaLuvlee Posted December 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2007 My TA advised me of the change a few days ago and when I pressed for a reason he was unable to give me one. It does give us shopping in Mexico with the change since we will now have 5 hours instead of one in Ensenada.
judyfssw Posted December 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2007 There is another thread on this board that talks about the reason for the change. It has to do with ships who have a foreign registry needing to stop for more than just an hour in a foreign country if they've only been in ports in the US. Have a great cruise even though your itinerary has changed.

(I wouldn't call a 2 AM departure a second port day...). I don't know the reason. The new reduction by 4 hours from a 2 am departure to a 10 pm departure was made last week. In return, the stop in Ensenada was switched from a 1 hour technical stop to a 5 hour stop with disembarkation. Floris
