vettecruiser1 Posted December 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2007 http://news.galvestondailynews.com/story.lasso?ewcd=c0e666dddbd06b2e It is past 12 p.m. and she is still there so I guess the waiting continues. It's all about when the Pilots and the Port decide it is safe to sail. Also based on this article there are a lot of ship queued up out in the Harbor. I wonder were in line the Exctasy falls, or if she gets priority since her cargo is people and not goods.

ShillyShally Posted December 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2007 Thanks for the update. I have been wondering what the latest info was. Me too - thanks! It's very interesting to me - there are just so many natural events that can sideline things - never underestimate the power of nature!
mudpievelour Posted December 10, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2007 Wow! We just came back on her Dec. 2. Glad we sailed when we did. I'd have been upset if we missed a port, even if they compensated us.

Cruiser from MS Posted December 10, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 10, 2007 Looks like they are finally going to go cruzing...... I feel sooo sorry for those people having to spend their first sea day in Galveston. Nothing pretty to look at from your balcony there...

terri23 Posted December 11, 2007 #11 Share Posted December 11, 2007 the worst part is that alcohol sales are restricted by law in TX ports and bar service is quite limited
