Shore Excursions

O.K., I've got another question for you experienced cruisers. Altho we have taken several cruises, we have never booked a shore excursion through RCCL, we have always done our own thing. However, there is one excursion we are interested in taking. Which is better, booking on line, or waiting till we get on the ship. We have already recieved our documents, and are leaving Jan. 20. If we book on line, do we print out our reservations on the computer, or do we pick them up on board? If we have to pick them up on the ship, there isn't much point in booking on line is there? Thanks again in advance.

Well if there is a excursion you see that you want on line and you wait till you get to the ship it could be sold out by then and you won't get it at all. If you book on line you can change your mind and get your money back up until 24 hours before the start of the excursion.

Also if you book on line the tickets will be delivered to your cabin the first day of the cruise. We tend to take a copy of our confirmation just in case of problem, which we've never had.

If the excursion is a popular one it could be sold out. They only leave 30% for booking on board. If it is a very limited tour (one of ours had 10) then than means only 3 tickets for those booking on the ship. Book it now and you can cancel up to 24 hours before.
