Dining on the Jewel

E&B

Recommended Posts

My brother and dad are taking their first cruise aboard the Jewel in a few months. What are their dining options? Which restaurants have a fee? And, is there one of the main dining rooms that has a dress code (no whorts or jeans) after 5pm?

As for jeans, they are pretty well accepted everywhere except Tsar's Palace at dinner time.

Tell your dad and brother they will not go hungry...

Azura was a non cover and you could where jeans and a nice shirt. The food was fantastic. If your not on a budget then Cagney's, Chin Chins and the other Japanese resturants were awsome. LeBistro was a disappointment, the food tasted great, but was cold(all six of us).I'm sure it was just a bad night. As stated before, you will not go hungry and if you do it will be your fault and no one elses. You can do it on or with a budget and enjoy yourself either way.

If you like Italian try Mama's Kitchen. There is no cover but it does require a reservation. Some of the fee places have half price for early birds. Check the Freestyle Daily for specials.

Basically the Tsars Palace and Azura have the same menu but they change every day. The Specialty places have the same menus every night.

If you are a cappicino or espresso lover remember that those are complimentary in the dining rooms. A great thing about Jewel is the automatic espresso/cappicino machines in the Buffet Dining area. Really good.
