Formal night wear for a child ???

AHHHH! Long story short... basically my sons suit, JACKET only, has gone AWOL at the drycleaners! There is no time to shop for and have alterations done before we leave this Sat morning to fly from LAX for a 12/23 sailing on the CB out of FLL. Is it going to be acceptable for an 11 year old boy to wear suit slacks, shirt and tie with no jacket on formalnights? If not any suggestions ?? Thanks !!!!!

Yes, especially if his parents are dressed formally, however his shirt should be long sleeved..

...for the lightening fast reply! Yes he has brand new long sleeve dress shirts and ties....Whew!

 

Oh.. and dad has dark suits and mom and sister formal gowns.... :)

He will be prefect! We sailed last week.Lots of 11,12 year old boys in long sleeve shirts and ties.....no jackets! Have a wonderful trip!

For a young boy, this is fine. Hope they find the jacket at some point.

I wont give it another thought and thats one more thing I can cross off my list. The cleaners has been looking for 2 days now... its probably hanging in someone elses closet who hasnt discovered it yet.....or has an 11 year old boy! HA!
