Esna lock closed?

I have read that the Esna Lock is closed, so the nile cruises can not pass through that area in June of 2008. Can anyone confirm if this is true. I am would like to take a trip to Egypt in June, and don't know missing that section of the River will make a big difference in my trip.

The Esna lock closes each year for maintenance. I thought it was in December.

Essna Lock was not closed during June2007 and in Dec2007 i am sure that the Egyptian government handled this issue with stopping the close of Essna Nile Lock.and it seems like the Lock will not close anymore
