I understand that we have to give a credit card with a hold or something like that on the cruise. We don't use credit cards. Can you use a debit card that is a visa debit card? Thanks for any help!

Yes, if you have enough in your account to cover $60/person/day. You may also make a deposit with cash or traveler's checks. :)

You can, if you prefer. You can also make a cash deposit with the front desk to fund your onboard account. Or, you can context HAL Ship's Services and deposit monies into your onboard account using a Visa Debit/Check card.

You can put down deposits before you even leave for the ship. You would, in effect, arrive at the ship with a credit balance to be used up with holds.....and ultimately with the actual amounts you charge while aboard.
