parrotthead Posted January 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2008 Hey Cruisers! I know someone can help me. Does anyone know of any "Name Your own Price" or Bid on Sites for hotels , other than Priceline? I had a list of sites but when my 'puter crashed a while back and I got a new one I lost all my 'favorites' . Any help would be most appreciated. bilyclub Posted January 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2008  Don't know of any sites other than the big two, Priceline and Hotwire, for cheap rooms. Maybe you were thinking about the boards that give the possible Hotels, along with tips and clues. http://p198.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding http://betterbidding.com/:cool:
jjtt Posted January 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2008 I use Expedia, Orbitz, and Hotwire. You don't bid for the price. On Hotwire you don't know what hotel you will be getting until you book and pay for it first. Then they email you your confirmation and hotel name. Once you pay for it there is NO REFUND or changing of hotels. About 15 - 30 minutes later I call the hotel and ask to confirm my ressie. As a matter of fact I was just looking at their site before I came here (CC). I hope this helps you.
39august Posted January 8, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2008 Besides using Priceline and Hotwire, I also go directly to hotel websites and usually find they are less expensive booking direct rather than thru' Orbiz or Expedia. Kayak.com is a good resouce as well.

duluthga Posted January 9, 2008 #7 Share Posted January 9, 2008 As mentioned above if using priceline go to biddingfortravel.com first. They have lists of commonly won hotels by location and the prices folks got them.
