above sea level cruiser Posted January 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Does anyone know why lines such as RCCL and Celebrity have discontinued their "live" ship web cams? - Will they return anytime soon?
Sue L Posted January 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2008 I think Voyagers is still there, though Explorers is down because of the Oceanographic lab lost funding or something, didn't read the whole thread. I think that was the only two on RCCL

JJSMaine Posted January 13, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2008 .... went south on Dec 4th along with the Science Page at the U of Miami. You can read this thread, http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=690132 for more details. The Adventure Cam went dead at the same time, so me-thinks that both cams were routed through the U of Miami...

It would now seem that there is a huge amount of expensive equipment not being used on this ship. Thanks for the reply.

kaseyoz Posted February 3, 2008 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Neil on the P and O australia boards has put together a website with a few webcams. You can click them for info on the actual cruise, take photos and there are also links. Nice to check in several times a day especially those travelling to exotic destinations. Funny story I got caught out a while back. I was checking the cams and thought i saw a couple making out, when i went to refresh it was something else then i realised i was looking at the movie screen and not real life. we do not have MUTS here in australia http://webcams.neilennis.com/
