Texas: check your spring break dates for 2009

Our spring break moved a week later (March 17, 2008) because of the later school start this year. I thought spring break 2009 would be the same as 2008 so I booked our next cruise for 3/15/2009. Yesterday I pulled up the new school calandar for 2008/2009 and discovered that the school district moved it BACK to the same old schedule as the 2006/2007 calandar:eek: We are still going to start later in August but they moved the spring break dates up a week to 3/9/2009. I called RCCL and was able to change everything back a week and even managed to save $400 by going a week earlier than originally planned :D Thank goodness I double checked the school calandars!

Yeah, even College is a week later. My spring break will be the 18th, and I live in Fl. Probably all states are going to be the same. So yeah, check your children's calendars.

March 15-23, 2008 and

March 14-22, 2009

Our Spring Break is later this year because of Easter. By moving it they could combine Easter and Spring Break at the same time. Next year, Easter is late again, so spring break can be moved back to its "normal" time of year for Texas.
