Jungle Jane Posted January 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2008 We are sleeper-inners so we thought we'd go to DR or WJ on sea days only, and on port days order room service so we can eat while we get ready, shower etc... But a lot of people must do this, right? Do you choose a time frame for your breakfast to be delivered? Is it pretty much on time? Thanks in advance. willysgrandma Posted January 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2008 You can put a door card out the night before for breakfast and they are pretty much on time. We also called and ordered and it took quite a while. I suggest the door card route. The room service menu is limited though.
cb at sea Posted January 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Unless you have a suite with a dining table, or only order coffee and danish, and the like, eating is difficult in the smaller cabins! There's simply nowhere to sit and eat comfortably! But, you can specify a time, and it'll be there! They also call before they come, so you're ready for them! Don't forget the tip! CrissyBarrows Posted January 15, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2008 you choose the time slot and they call you a couple minutes before delivery to make sure its ok to come. then you sit on your balcony and enjoy your breakfast!!
cruisegirl1 Posted January 15, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2008 We ordered room service breakfast several days. We do not pre order as we did not know how late we might sleep. Each time we ordered we were told it would be 40 minutes but then they called back in 15 to say the order was on the way. Never heard about the suite only rule for hot breakfast food especially for a 7 day cruise. We just got of the Mariner (In a standard balcony cabin) and had the option of several egg dishes for room service. In our recent Sovereign cruise, only continental breakfast was offered on room service. We thought that was because it is a 3 day. One thing we have learned is that different RCCL ships do have different offerings and rules. Enjoy M
