taxis aplenty?

Are there plenty of taxis waiting around at orient or maho? We want to do a few things, but is it better to make a deal with a driver for the day, or are the drivers and taxis easy to come by when ready to head somewhere new?

At any popular place, there will be taxis waiting to take you back to the ship in the afternoon. If you cut it close and the driver can't get another couple, than the rate for 2 people is higher per person.

 

4 people get the $ 6.00 per person rate from Orient to the pier.

We walked up to the taxi stand at the port and got a taxi for 3 of us right away. The driver was great and offered to be back at Orient beach to pick us up when we wanted. At Orient when we were ready to leave he was there as were several other taxi drivers.

 

it was $7 per person for 3 people.
