Vancouver Airport Transportation to Downtown

You are staying at the downtown Hampton?? Cabs are your best bet. This location isn't near the harbor area or Stanley Park, so cabs are the most direct. There are city buses to also perhaps consider??

If you aren't doing any sightseeing, then the cheaper hotels will be the airport, which many have shuttles, then it's about $35ca+++ for a cab to Canada Place.

I read positive things about the Hampton Inn on Trip Advisor and got a good rate for one night. Fortunately we'll be arriving in Vancouver around 10 am so we'll have some time to do a little sightseeing that afternoon. Don't know anything about the area, just that it's on Robson Street, in the heart of everything.

We are also staying at the Hampton for our June 14th cruise. I heard somewhere that the Hampton has a shuttle to the cruise pier. (I have not verified this- and since we are going out of Ballyntine (sp?) I need to call and find out!)

We are trying to coordinate flights with relatives- and if we do- there will be 6 of us arriving and are thinking that a limo might be cheaper than 2 taxis- from the airport to the hotel. Any thoughts? Are reservations needed?

thanks for any info!

We're staying one night in Vancouver at the Hampton Inn before our cruise. Any advice on transportation from the airport to the Hampton Inn and then to the pier. How far is it and what's the cost of a cab ride?
Hampton Inn Downtown has a free shuttle to the port. First Come First Served; signup is very early in the morning on the day you need the shuttle.

It looks as if a taxi for two from the airport to the Hyatt Regency, at mid-day on Memorial Day (5/26) will cost only a few dollars (say, $35 with tip, vs. $27) more than the cost of the Airporter bus, and be a lot faster. Does that make sense?

Too bad the rail link won't open until the end of next year!
