chellecruise12 Posted May 27, 2014 #76 Share Posted May 27, 2014 We loved Mullet. It was beautiful and would have loved to stay there the entire day (much better beach and scenery than Maho, but of course we wanted the kids to experience the planes). They have outhouses there at the entrance. I only noticed it because I had to use one when we first arrived. I'm not sure if there were others there. But it was clean and it didn't smell surprisingly. The little town had a lot of restaurants/places to eat/bars and some gift shops. We didn't go in any and only ate there after our day at Maho. So, I can't comment on whether or not the prices were good or what they actually had in the stores. Sorry. Thank you!! Sounds like your day is the same as I'm planning for our family next March.. Mullet Beach then Maho for a bit to see the planes.. How long did you allow at Maho? I'm not sure how often planes come in? I'm sure we won't want to spend too long there..Just a chance to see a few planes if possible.. Were the prices of food in the town reasonable? Since it looks like we are in port from 8-6 I'm sure we will need to grab a bite to eat somewhere. Hope you had a better time this time in St Maarten!! :)

On the island the area with stores, restaurants, resorts and casinos between Maho beach and Mullet bay beach is referred to as the Maho Entertainment district or area. Where did you eat? I always try to save one meal for Pizza Pasta when I vacation on St. Maarten.

I always try to save one meal for Pizza Pasta when I vacation on St. Maarten. Sadly we ate at Subway. The kids wanted it and was eyeballing it as we passed it the first time on the way from Mullet to Maho. Also, they knew they wanted to go back to that area to do some shopping and Subway was the only thing they could remember that we passed, so that's where we told our driver to pick us up at. Subway ended up being a very bad choice. The workers in there were very rude and mean. After walking back down toward the casino to use the restroom, we desperately wished that we had ate there at the Mexican bar/restaurant were the toilets were located. They were so nice and friendly there. In the end, we didn't have time to go shopping anyhow and could have just left Maho and went back to the port. Oh well. :)

webnut Posted May 29, 2014 #80 Share Posted May 29, 2014 Our ship is in port from 1pm to 8pm. Do the beaches close at any particular time? Considering going to Maho for the planes, then spending the rest of the day at Mullet beach before heading back to the ship. Thanks.

Karysa Posted May 29, 2014 #82 Share Posted May 29, 2014 Is Pizza Pasta in that area by chance? Yes it's a little hidden though . It's by Cherries. Just go up the driveway and you'll find it.
