grobbins Posted February 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2008 We booked El Tigre Catamaran tour last week when we were on Serenade. It was a wonderful day. We got picked up at the pier, right where they said we would. This part was a little confusing because there was no 'El Tigre' sign but there was a guy with a sign that said Small Cats on one side and Shasa on the other. We asked him if he knew if we were in the right spot for El Tigre and he said we were. He had a paper with our names on it and several names for other catamarans, as well. They put us all on a bus and took us to the pier where they directed us to the right catamaran. After we paid, we got onboard El Tigre . There were maybe thirty people total. The crew explained the day and we were off. The crew was so fun and friendly. They made sure everyone had a good time and were very chatty. Another bonus for the ladies... these guys were all gorgeous! They definitely added to the scenery. They had steel drum music playing, (I've never heard this version of I've Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher- it amused me) and we sailed off to the shipwreck and coral reef. Capt. Nick gave up some snorkel advice, snorkel vests and equipment were passed out and off you went. You could either jump or go down the stairs. Then we sailed to the turtle area. This area was pretty crowded with other operators but it was awesome to see the turtles. I would not have wanted to be on a ship tour here. Too crowded. After turtles, we sailed to a beach and went right up on it where more than 1/2 the group got off as they were only doing the 3 hour tour. Nick escorted them down the beach and into their cab or bus. As we pulled away, lunch was served. Flying fish, macaroni, chicken, salads and wine. Very tasty. We munched away and enjoyed the scenery until we anchored at Batts Rock where you could swim, swim to shore or stay on the cat. The beach looked pretty here, very empty and the water was stunning. We then sailed back to the pier where the crew made a dramatic rescue of a passengers beach bag that fell overboard. At the pier, we were put in a pre-paid taxi and taken back to the ship in a very timely manner. Most excellent day. Any questions?
Aplmac Posted February 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2008 It's not much of an offering, I know but here are two evening shots I took of the Cat in the Bridgetown Marina/Careenage area. Don't know if this is where you boarded?
