davidn Posted September 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2004 Will be arriving on the Summit at Ft Lauderdale on 10/15 (from the Panama Canal cruise). We have hotel reservations for next 2 days in Miami and West Palm Beach areas, so want to rent a car. Avis only has rental location at airport, so would need to get from cruise ship terminal to airport. Anyone know options from getting from termnial to airport? Cost, and distance/time? Im sure they have taxies (appx cost?) are their also busses or shuttle services awaiting passengers disembarking? Are their any other (major) rental agencies that have rentals at the cruise ship terminal or do you have to schlep everything to the airport just to get your car? lougee1043 Posted September 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2004 pretty certain that the rental companies have pick up at the terminal because they have drop off there ---its about 10-15 min from the terminal to the airport depending on traffic
Nitemare Posted September 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2004 All the agencies have free shuttles to/from the port. Let them know what time you're due in (or call them when you arrive) and they'll pick you up at the dock.
