Front of Ship? Advice please.!

We just got our room assignment from RC Grandeur of the seas. In buying an interior cabin they just assign you something. Ours just assigned is at the very very front of the ship. I think I need to ask for something in the middle of the ship. Can anyone give me any advice on this? Thank you so much for your help

My very first cruise was in a cabin at the front and the only problem we had was if we were in a tender port and they let out the anchor at 6:00 a.m, it can be a rude awakening! Also, it's a bit rougher ride up there compared to the middle of the ship.

A lot depends on the individual. We've had cabins forward, aft, up, & down. You will generally experience less motion being low and midship.

However, we enjoy the motion of the ship as we drift off to sleep (or crash if we've been out late :)). So we will take a forward or aft cabin over an equal midship one.

Thanks for the question Serene. When we made our reservations at the price we paid we were just given a guarantee of getting a room. We just recently were told what we had been assigned to. - Which was the front of the ship. I did not know what recourse we had if any if we were seriously interested in changing or whether we would just end up paying more to go somewhere else.

However, I'm thinking that the front of the ship may not be all that bad

After all -we're cruising right?
