Luggage locked or unlocked for embarkation?

Do I need to make sure that my luggage is locked or unlocked before I hand it over on the dock before boarding? Thanks

at miami in january we had TSA locks on all the luggage...all were in locked position. ditto disembarking.

You can leave them locked. They run them through an xray machine. If they see anything out of the ordinary (usually alcohol), then they will call you to the naughty room later and have you open the piece in question.

Lock them. There is no need for TSA locks when boarding the ship. Unless you fly don't pay the extra fro them.

Thanks, I usually use the plastic Flex ties so that should work.
