RE: Is this possible time-wise?

First off . . . wow . . . this is a fantastic site . . . especially for a brand-new-never-thought-I-would-ever-book-a-cruise kind of a guy.

Anyways, a few questions.

My wife and I are considering hiring Cameron Reid or another taxi service to see Harrison's Cave and the Wildlife Reserve . . . and if possible I would like to stop off at Sunbury Plantation and/or the St. Nicholas Abbey. To start with . . . is this possible to do time-wise without feeling overly rushed . . . and to make sure we don't miss the boat?

Second, is there a way either here or on-board that folks can post what they're considering doing at port to see if other folks would like to join them? I guess what I'm really asking is that I was wondering how one would see if anyone would like to split the cost of the cab/fee to save money . . . assuming of course that they would want to see these places as well.

We're on board Carnival Destiny and in Barbados on March 26th at 8, leaving at 5 p.m.

Thank you in advance to any that can help answer these questions.

- is this possible to do time-wise without feeling overly rushed

and to make sure we don't miss the boat? ===> Yes, but get going early.

We're on board Carnival Destiny and in Barbados on March 26th at 8,

- leaving at 5 p.m. ===> And she is punctual!

Destiny will sail in at 7 a.m. (set your watch)

and leave at 5 p.m (set watch again!) - trust me.

Yes you can do all those places, but have breakfast early

and get off the ship by 9 and get going.

Do Sunbury first, (Southern-ish part of the island)

(then St.Johns Ch. maybe?)-(East-central part of the island)

- then Harrisons Caves(dead-Central part of the island)

then Wildlife Reserve (North of the island, with Farley Hill cool-out-spot next door)

with Nicholas Abbey not far away(also North end).

She pulls away from the dock at 5 sharp.

Usual instructions are for passengers to be back by 4

but those who live dangerously might plan for a realistic 4:30

No-one was left behind that day. :)
