pog27 Posted February 26, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2008 I found a thread from a few years ago that said they have caviar on the Dawn in the champagne bar but it doesn't look like the Jewel even has a champagne bar. Last year on the Pearl we brought our own and our butler was able to prepare a platter with the accoutrements. That leads me to believe they probably had caviar on the Pearl last year but does anyone know for sure if I'll be able to get some on the Jewel and if so the approximate cost? Just off the Jewel on Sunday In bar central on deck 6 there certainly is a champagne bar and they do offer all sorts of goodies from caviar to pate de foie gras etc... As for cost... all caviar that I experienced was offered free, but at the champagne bar they will have a price list.

cliffd64 Posted February 27, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2008 free caviar - wow! Did you try the foie? If so how was i and how much? Free caviar was served at the latitudes gathering(s) only... and although I love the foie gras I never had the opportunity to try it.
pog27 Posted February 27, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted February 27, 2008 Thanks for the info. I'm assuming the free caviar you guys are talking about is salmon roe or something similar to that. I was referring to Beluga/Sevruga/Osetra caviar, which I have had on other lines and would expect to pay somewhere around $80-$100 for an ounce. I'll have to check out the champagne bar once I get onboard.
