NCL/Harrah's Partnership?

Go to Ceasars or Paris if you want luxury. Harrah's itself is not as luxurious. Rio is great, all suites.

Thanks, we don't really need luxury (just love it). In fact, for the past 15 years, the Stardust was our home. We were so sad when they imploded it. The comps were great, but even better, we could frequently win there. The rooms and food weren't anything to write home about, but that never mattered. We got started at the Venetian on a business trip, gambled a lot, got invitations for slot tournaments and free rooms and just sort of ended up making it our new home. But, like I said, it's too tight there for us. The Rio sounds like it might be a good fit. We've been "auditioning" casinos since the demise of the Stardust, but haven't found a happy home yet.

We love the Venetian too and also have a great host but we can't seem to ever win there. We have reluctantly decided to move to a less expensive property. Guess we better try our Harrah's if there is a chance they might partner with NCL. I'll sure miss those beautiful suites though! And the fantastic pool area. :(

While not happy about your losses, I am glad to hear that I'm not the only one who can't win anything at Venetian. One night, playing 3 card poker, sitting at a table with 2 others since 11pm, they decided to close the table at 3am. We moved to the other 3 card table (empty, right next to it) and they promptly doubled the minimum. Of course, we kept playing (kust the 3 of us), but it felt rather hostile. Felt like they wanted us to leave (it's not like we were winning). Ended up staying until 10am, having a blast, even though they raised the minimum again! That was my last night there.

BTW, I have found that Harrah's treats us very well. We usually stay at Paris (my personal fave) or Caesars (lovely but much less lucky than Paris for us). We get better suites at Caesars, but the rooms at Paris are great. If pool is important, Caesars has better ones, but Paris is somewhat comparable to Venetian pools. The food at both places is to-die-for; Mon Ami Gabi (Paris) is my favorite, but I miss long evenings at the Brasserie at V (we still get there a lot anyway). Caesars has a bigger casino, but Paris is very well laid out; no long walks to get anywhere. Rio is ok, I like the hotel and the casino and win a bit there, but don't like being off the strip (we walk everywhere). Also, give Mandalay Bay a try; they were awful for comps when we played years ago, but with their new connections, that may have changed. The pools and restaurants there are great, rooms are just ok, but they have TheHotel, all suites and great if you can get them comped.

We've played Caesars a few times, but I agree, just too much walking and too confusing. We haven't tried Paris, so maybe we need to give it a try. It's not the pools that matter as much as a good place to read and relax with bar service that we look for in a pool area. Good thing we'll be at the Venetian end of this month (another slot tournament, and probably our last). That'll give us a chance to try out the Paris and Harrah's. Thanks for the tips.
