The Renaissance ( sp ? ) has day use of their private island for $50 per person. It includes the 10 minute boat ride there, lunch , a drink and use of all the non-moorized stuff ( kayak, snorkels volleyball, etc. ). We had a great time there.

I'm not sure if there is any reason to get a day pass. You might not be able to use the chairs owned by the hotel, but I recall there being places to rent chairs in the vicinity of the hotel, if not right in front. It is a popular area of the beach and not at all private. There are also pleanty of places to eat and drink at in the area.
