Shopping near port

I collect Christmas ornaments from every place we visit. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is some stores or places near the docks at Grenada where I could find some.

Plenty of overpriced shopping in the 'mall' at the port itself. Go straight out about a block and there is an outdoor market. Spices, spices everywhere!

What kind of stores are in the "mall?"

A pretty good book store is in the mall as well as a liquor store, coffee shop, a couple of jewelry stores, sandwich shop, caribbean trinket store....Don't get too excited about it though. It's a good place to keep in from the rain for a short while. The shops here oughta kill about 20 minutes. Grenada is not a shopping island as Aruba or St. Martin is.

I prefer local markets with local handcrafts and artist wares. Is the market that was mentioned before with spices easy to get to? Are there just spices at the market or are there handcrafts available, too?
