CassNCourtsMom Posted March 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2008 I was wondering what everyone does with their valuable that they bring off the boat on Coco Cay? Are there lockers? I would love to bring my camera to take pictures, but I also want to go in the water with my dh and don't want to loose my camera.
cb at sea Posted March 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2008 You really won't have a problem--stick your camera in a beach tote, or stick it in a shoe, or whatever. There are lots of "beach" areas that are not crowded! It's not like you can't keep an eye on your stuff while you're in the water. If push comes to shove, talk to your "neighbor" on the beach and ask if they can keep an eye on your stuff! Thievery isn't a huge problem! You won't need much money--if any--since everything can be charged to your account.

I would love to bring my camera to take pictures, but I also want to go in the water with my dh and don't want to loose my camera. I would perhaps ask a staff member to hold the camera while you were in the water.
lady_cruiser Posted March 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2008 I know we are now in an age where 99% of us use digital cameras. I know I can not do without mine. But for days I know that I will be going near or in the water I buy an inexpensive water proof camera at Walmart. When I bring the photos to be developed I ask them to place them on a CD for me so I can download them to my computer at home. That way the camera is with me and I don't have to worry about either losing it or forgetting in on the beach.
sandytoes03 Posted March 2, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2008 We've been to Coco Cay twice, and Labadee once. When in the water we just keep our camera in our beach bag. Never any problem.
