Kids and Gift bags on the NCL Spirit

Does anyone know if the kids backpack is worth it on the NCL Spirit. DH wants to surprise our DD since he can't go with us with a gift. Web site doesn't say what's in them. Would we be better just to put our own gift bag together?

How old is she? I know the backpack on HAL was pretty babyish and even my then 7 year old DD thought so.

she is 10 and is more into crafts and such than games. don't know if this makes a difference.

From what I've seen online I wouldn't get it for our 4 year old granddaughter. It's blue, green & red & includes a t-shirt, baseball cap & souvenir cup for free soda fountain fill-ups.

The backpack might not appeal to a 10 year old girl. However, the unlimited soda is nice and my DD9 still adores her T-Shirt and hat. The other kids will be wearing the t-shirt (which is only available in the pack), so I say go for it. Besides, it's a surprise from her Daddy...what girl wouldn't love it!

thank you. we were going to get the soda card anyway and if this is included plus the goodies than it is a good buy. she is so sad her daddy can't go with us this might just be the thing.
