I was wondering if you could purchase on board credit before a cruise. We were thinking about mentioning it as a gift possibility for family. Can this be done? I saw casino credits for sale on the princess site, is that good only for the casino?

I recently had friends cruise for their honeymoon. I called Princess and told them the date of the cruise and the ship along with their name. I wanted to give them $40 and my choices (in that range) were $25 and $50 so I gave $50. I don't know if they are only in $25 increments??

Last month on the Grand, I gifted myself (lol) 500$ casino credit with my credit card. When I got to the room there were 5 cards for 100$ each. I carried them to the casino cashier and they gave me 500$ cash. No fees and I get my miles from my card as well.

Yes, you can give OBC by calling Princess. The increments are done by $25, so it's $25, $50, $75 and so on.

Our travel agent did it for us. My co-workers got us an obc as a wedding gift. They said they called the travel agent and she took care of it.
