Sandy Lane area Public Beach?

I can't get a definitive answer when I do a search..

I'll be having a couple of spa treatments at Sandy Lane and I would like to bring my husband along for a beach day while I'm at the spa. Can anyone tell me if it's a public beach with chairs and umbrellas to rent. Also, bar/food in the area. (not at Sandy Lane...to much $$$)

Thank you

Can anyone tell me if it's a public beach with chairs and umbrellas to rent. ===> Not Quite!

Also, bar/food in the area.===> You'll be among millionaires and even a few Billionaires

-(not at Sandy Lane...too much $$$) ===> Exactly!

Sounds to me like you're doing Sandy Lane for the day.

Don't quote me on any of this

coz I'm simply not sure if they offer a day-rate thing

for better-heeled cruisers...but.. if you're already having Spa treatments there

of course you should be able to take your husband along,

park him somewhere beachside after making arrangements for a chair/whatever

do your thing, and come back to find he's.......

Sandy Lane is pretty much an isolated Bay,

with several lavish residences to either side of it..

so when you're there, you're there.

There are no cheap-source alternatives,food- and drink-wise nearby

That's the whole idea of doing Sandy Lane - to get away from the madding crowd.

Walking North of Sandy Lane will eventually bring you to the pleasant-enough Holetown area..

Walking South of Sandy Lane will take you..

right into ummm...the Paynes Bay/Blue Monkey area where....ummm... let's not go there...

Yes, Sandy Lane is pricey

so I'm not quite "gellin"

how come you're going there for Spa treatments

(an arm and a leg?)

and yet you're not there for Lunch, for the day, etc.?

Shouldn't cost ya more than ooohh... $500 or so

but what the hell - it's only money, kid

and you only live once!:D

  • 2 weeks later...

I would also assume that along with the spa treatments your family would be considered guests.

We had lunch at Sandy Lane two years ago it was a pretty hotel but the food was nothing special.

I'm certain the hotel would recommend food/drink nearby if there is anything.

I think Paynes Bay is georgeous except for the eyesore area known as Blue Monkey Beach Bar. I'm sure APLMAC would agree.. and of course lets not forget The Sands Building.. but thats only if you're looking inland. sit on the beach on your towel and just gaze at the sea.. fabulous..
