reno3 Posted March 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2008 Has anyone gotten into Gumbalimba Park without going with the ship tour:confused: Or have you tried to do this and been turned away:eek: From the few posts that I have read it seems that you do have to go with the ship. Would just like to know for sure before I book with the ship.
anaslile Posted March 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2008 Reno-- I can't answer your question, however I can remember reading an account of somebody getting in Gumbalimba by just going to the park and paying the entrance fee. There have also been a few reports of people getting in if it isn't "too busy" whatever that means. They were on a cruise ship, too. Technically, when there is a ship in port it's supposed to be 'closed' (aka, you have to be on a ship's excursion to do it). I would say if you're absolutely sold on Gumbalimba it might be better to just book it through the ship. If it's give or take, you could always ask a cabbie at the pier to go there and see what they say. *shrugs*
gkrnjlr Posted March 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2008 Without trying to sound stupid....and having JUST booked my cruise that goes to Roatan.... Can you tell me what's at Gumbalimba Park? What's so special about it that it's busy and can be closed to non-excursion visits? Thanks!
