7777leila Posted March 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2008 Hey can anyone tell me the best hotel to stay at for just one night before the cruise? I really don't want to spend more than $200.

55J5-5 Posted March 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2008 I got the Sheraton this last Feb for $109 from Hotwire. [a $15 per room tax added at hotel] It is located across from one of the piers and you can walk all around Old San Juan from it. Very nice hotel. Great views from the pool on the roof. I would book this hotel again! :)
7777leila Posted March 11, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted March 11, 2008 Thanks 55J5-5. I will definitely look into the Sheraton! Redwings 1958- I'm just looking for a nice, comfortable, pest free, hotel to stay for the night. Willing to spend up to $200.
wckdtrix Posted March 11, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2008 We stayed at the Holiday Inn Isla Verde back in January for one night. It was very clean, staff was friendly, and in walking distance to the beach (about a block), it is also near the airport. I am not sure what we paid for the night, but it was around 180 a night or so, I think. Our room was on the top floor, executive level, which included continental breakfast. We had a balcony with a view of the ocean as well. The room itself was on the small side, especially with a queen bed. The balcony was more of a "standing room only" balcony, as it was only about 2 feet or so deep.
Trekker954 Posted March 29, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 29, 2008 you can easily get a resort hotel under 200 on priceline. depending on the month. marriott, caribe hilton and the intercontinental are averaging 110 - 150 on priceline.
RichardK Posted March 29, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 29, 2008 Define "Best" I think I originally read it the same way: Best Hotel; <$200 = Oxymoron
OhioJeff Posted March 30, 2008 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2008 I agree your best bet for a nice hotel in SJ for a good price is Priceline or Hotwire. I have scored $300-400 a night hotel for under $100 in SJ.
