Super Shuttle from Hobby

The search is down but I was wondering if anyone has used SuperShuttle from Hobby to the cruise terminal ? How are they?

Thanks

Hi, hope you don't mind sharing your replies with us. We are doing the same thing arriving Sat April 26th but the car rental agencies are all closed Sun the 27th when the ship leaves so we will be charged and extra day (mon when they open) and a $60 drop-off fee. However, the key must be mailed overnight no drop-off slot, and if it doesn't get to the rental agency by the right hour they charge yet another day!!! Just too risky for us. The airport is quite a distance from the pier so private transportation is expensive. So far we plan to rent a car for $20 Sat at the airport, drive to the hotel in Galveston and return the car to the airport on Sunday after dropping off our luggage at the ship, then get a ride back to the pier (or the hotel where we can take the trolley or bus to the pier). A couple places have a car for under $20 at the airport for Sat to Sun and the trolley and bus are both under $2.00 from the hotel or at any other bus stop. We could just get a ride to the hotel in Galveston on Sat with no rental car and then a $20 taxi to the pier but then we wouldn't have a way to tour the area, go out to eat or pick up things we might need. So the hassle of driving won't bother us for the benefit it will provide. (we are still looking into info on the Tolley, if it goes to stores and restaurants we might not need a car at all. It's an on-off all day for $2.00) Hope we get some info that can get us to Galveston reasonably. I know it seems crazy for someone taking a cruise to look for cheap transportation but the cruise and airfare fees to Spain ate up all our budget.

The search is down ...

The following is from Laura's Announcement:

Update: Wednesday, Feb 27th: The main search link on the homepage (and navigation bar) of the boards has been disabled for the short term. HOWEVER, the search function will work at both the FORUM and THREAD levels.

Please note the Search this Forum and Search this Thread features are active. It is only the main Search that is disabled.

I used supershuttle as a key word and 6 threads, including this thread, appeared when using the Search this Forum feature on this forum.

I hope this information will be helpful!

Back from the cruise and looking forward to the same one in reverse in Nov. however, Enterprise is not open for pick-up on Sundays so we are using Super Shuttle to Hobby this time. It's $100 per shuttle for 1-10 people. We have a full shuttle so it's $10.30 per person!!! BTW Enterprise was great $13 per day with no drop-off fee. (we did have to pay an extra day at $13  because they are not open on Sunday so although we dropped off the car on Sunday they did not officially receive it until Monday) Taxi from rental lot to ship was $20 but there were others dropping off their cars so we split the cost with another couple. We dropped off our luggage at the ship before returning the rental car so we could have even taken the trolley at $2.00 per person and seen a little of Galveston narrated along the way. Transfers from RCCL are $90 for 2 but that guarantees the ship will wait for you if your late.
