I went on a Survivor cruise with former Survivor contestants Lex Van den berg (Survivor Africa and All Stars), Big Tom Buchanan (Survivor Africa and All Stars), Andrew Savage (Survivor Pearl Islands) and a couple of the girls from Pearl Islands. It was fun and entertaining to see these characters show up at the various venues. I even got to share my dinner table with big Tom along with my bottle of Pine-Nut No-Ear. Of course I'm a total Survivor fan...... :cool:

In 2005 on the Valor the losers of the Bachelor and Bachelorette were on board. Must of been about 20 or so. They seemed to mix right into the crowd well. Several participated in the talent show, and to be quite honest they were not ready for prime time. But it was still interesting.

Sniff.......Brings a Tear to me eye ....to see a Proud Parent! :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

 

I'm a tremendously proud parent :o . I make light of the situation only to soften the stress of how hard it was to get a successful pregnancy, since, after having my first little one, I had 3 heartbreaking pregnancy losses in 3 years, including one that resulted in the loss of one fallopian tube making it even harder to get pregnant. Then I almost lost my '07 baby to "threatened miscarriage." But, now I am extremely blessed to have a healthy 6 year old boy and a healthy 10 month old girl, both of whom are just wonderful beyond words...wouldn't trade either for anything in this world. I can't tell you how glad I was to give up the relatively new annual cruise tradition under the circumstances. Thanks for giving me a chance to brag on 'em a bit! :D

Last month at the airport on my way to the Carnival Freedom I saw ... Anthony Bourdain from the travel channel at the ticket counter. He took a picture with us, he is very tall.

 

I'm so jealous! I love his show.

Oddly enough I did!! He was a few people behind me in the "burger line" but He left I guess he got tired of waiting. A few minutes later after We got our food we ended up sitting very close to his table and yeah he was eating a deli sandwich, can you believe it??

 

Can you imagine the crap he takes from people asking him "Couldn't find Subway?"

I would love to be on a cruise with Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern.

 

 

I'll take Bourdain, you take Zimmern, haha. No joke I'm a huge fan, have read all of his books, watch all of his shows, and then one time he was outside my building (at 70th & York) sitting in the driver's seat of a little white BMW convertible...top down, shades on...looking so cool. I waved, he waved. Made my day!

About 12 years ago we were on a Holland America cruise with some of the Minnesota Vikings. In fact one of there Defensive lineman got married on the cruise. I forget his name but Jack Del Rio the current head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars was his best man. Tracey Glenn was also on the cruise. They were three of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. They stood at the bar and drank a few beeers and chatted with us. I played roullete with Glenn for about an hour. Great guy cut up with the best. Jack Del Rio, is very personable and I don't know if he was married then or not but the blonde he was with could have been Miss America she was gorgeous. Had a great time on that cruise.

On the S. O Seas saw Peter Marshall and David Brenner. On the Holiday saw Veron Madox from K. C.and the Sunshine Band. On the Miricale saw Charlie Pride, Pam Tillis and Roy Clark. Flying down to Miami once for a cruise Conan O'Brian and Jimmy Conners were on the flight. In the mid 80's I was competing in a Karate tourament and met Billy Blanks.

I have sailed with Maggie Peterson (Charlene Darlin) and Leroy McNees (in the band) and Keith Thibodeaux ( Johnny Paul Jason) all from the Andy Griffith Show and Keith also played Little Ricky on I Love Lucy.... We have done a Back to Mayberry Cruise for the past 3 years and met some wonderful people that were on that show!!!

Well, years ago, maybe 15, Donna Summers performed on a New Year's Eve cruise I took out of Long Beach. I didn't have a clue at the time who she was (not my era).

 

On our 1999/2000 millenium New Year's cruise to the Mexican Riviera on Princess my sister and I asked a young guy to take our picture. He thought it was funny that we wanted him to take our picture. We couldn't understand why that was funny until we realized that he was an actor on a sitcom that was popular at the time. I can't remember who he was since I never watched the show, but he probably didn't get many requests to take pictures. He was probably used to being in them.

a few years back on the Imagination, jerome kerse (sp) defensice end out of UF played with the titans and then the eagles. he had just signed his big $$ free agent contract with the eagles. was playing craps in the casino and having a good time.
