BoBandy Posted March 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2008 I just talked to a co-worker who got back from a NCL cruise. She mentioned that they paid an additional charge and all drinks (rail and beer, No specialty drinks) were included for their entire cruise. Has anyone ever heard of this all-inclusive drink option? cruizinwithkids Posted March 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2008 I have seen it as part of a group package.
BeachBumMama Posted March 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2008 You have this option when booking a group. However, everyone has to get it, regardless of whether they drink alot or not. Might be people in the group that don't drink at all, but the entire group has to get it regardless.
lookingtorelax Posted March 19, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Yes, we got the option when we went on the Jewel in Jan. 07. I believe as long as your group has 10 rooms booked, you may get this package. If you go with people who like to drink, it is a great idea. We are sailing the Spirit in Jan.09 and went with the package again. I think the TA said that the price is $46 pp per day ($322 pp for the week). At the end of the last cruise, our bar bill would have been around $1,100 (some of the receipts got wet by the hot tub so we threw them away). It was also nice having it paid up front so that the bill at the end was not as shocking. Also, the tip is automatically added on and part of the package price (or at least is was last time) so that is not on the bill at the end either. Just the $10 pp per day tip is billed to you for wait staff and cleaning staff. If you can, think about doing it. DC
garycarla Posted March 19, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Yes, just remember, everyone, and they mean EVERYONE in the group must take the package, and for everyday of the cruise.
gsc500 Posted March 19, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Yes, just remember, everyone, and they mean EVERYONE in the group must take the package, and for everyday of the cruise. That makes sense. But I wonder what happens when you have children/minors in the group? Since you wouldn't even be able to use it for virgin specialty drinks. Maybe juice and soda? BeachBumMama Posted March 19, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 19, 2008 That makes sense. But I wonder what happens when you have children/minors in the group? The drink package would only apply to the adults, those of legal drinking age. Children would have to get soda card if they wish.
