Bikinis for the busty

I have a hard time finding swim suits because I'm rather big on top. I have a narrow rib cage and big breasts. My problem is that all the swim suits I can find are with a halter neck, and I just can't do a halter top. It makes my neck hurt too much because of the weight pulling down. I also don't really want to wear a one piece, but is there any place where I can buy a bikini where the top is the kind like a bra, with 2 straps that go over the shoulder? Bonus points if the tops and bottoms are sold seperately, as I usually end up buying a bottom in a medium, and a top in an XL, or XXL if they have it, and then having to take in the part that goes around your back.

Have you tried Lands End? They have all kinds of swimsuits in many different styles. You always buy the tops & bottoms separate with them. They have tankini tops with straps, as opposed to halter.

Another place to check is Venus. A couple of the women I work with order their swimsuits from there, and they are always happy with them.

Try blue sky swimwear:

I know you said you wanted two straps, and they have those, but also look at the strapless tube top. It's not gathered in the middle and it's absolutely wonderful for fuller on the top girls like you and me :) (I wear a 34D or DD) It's so nice not to get strap marks AND be able to stay in your top. But if you order, beware of the sizes. Sometimes the bottoms run smaller. I wear a 2 in stores like New York and Company and Old Navy, but I needed a large in the bottoms for them to fit comfortably and not make my waist hang over. And for the bottoms, they have so many different styles to pick from. Hope that helps!

Go to a swimsuit store--they have TONS of "mix and match"suits--so you can get the right sizes for all parts of you! Like a small bottom and a large top! You really have to try these things on-- or you'll spend all your time returning things in the mail!

I am a 34DDD and wear a size ten. Tara Grinna makes separates that work really well for me and the fabrics and pattern choices are excellent. I wear bathing suits all the time living here in FL and hers wear wonderfully and look great as well as providing support.

Hi,

I wear a 34DD top and a small bottom. Venus works great for me. I also hate halter type tops - they kill my neck too. Venus has a lot of different prints to chose from and a number of different styles as well. I think you will be happy with them.

Sunsets is a great brand to try also...I used to buy them pre-breast reduction. Here's a link to one site that sells them:

I was watching a show on how to pick the perfect swimsuit for your body type. One of the suggestions for busty women is a bandeau swim top. I used to wear a halter but had the same problem with my neck. After watching the show I invested in a good bandeau and it actually minimizes your bust.
