Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We were on Regent in November 2023. We sail on Oceania fairly frequently and I was very worried that I would be spoiled by the Regent experience and no longer be happy with Oceania. I am happy to report that did not happen. I found most things to be comparable but a no go for me was the lack of a casual dining option for dinner. Our issue is not about the dress code but about the amount of time we allot to having dinner. We usually go to the terrace for dinner on Oceania and have never had a bad meal there. We can get in and get out as quickly or as slowly as we want. We just find that works best for us and will not be going back on Regent.
  2. We had to take a taxi to them. It was about a 10 to 15 minute ride.
  3. We did a panama canal cruise Miami to LA. The stop before LA was San Diego. We got off there as well as several other passengers. There was a customs and immigration agent available and we had to carry our own luggage off the ship.
  4. Take a look at the powder sunscreens. They are lovely for the face and anywhere else you would like to use them. Supergoop has a mineral 50 finishing powder that is my current go to.
  5. We use Blue Water Divers in Tortola. They are wonderful.
  6. Hi, My husband and I (experienced cruisers) are considering a Caribbean cruise on SeaDream. We usually scuba dive at all of the ports of call. Is this manageable on SeaDream? Has anyone else done so? If so - could you please tell me how it went? Thanks, Barbara
  7. I called Regent. They said Tiano. Also stated that is subject to change.
  8. I am trying to book some scuba diving for our port call in Puerto Plata and the dive shop asked which port Taino or Amber Cove? Does anyone know this? We will be on the Mariner. Thanks, Barbara
  9. We love the smaller O ships. Our go to room is always 8048. It is a PH2 on the starboard side of the shop. It is about 2 doors from the back stairs and is very quiet.
  10. I am so sorry you and your husband are going through this Petoonya. I hope you find the strength you need.
  11. 8048 is my favorite cabin on the R-class ships. I always try to book that room. It is just aft of the rear elevator bank on the port side of the ship. I find that it is very quiet and very convenient.
