What is there for Lunch in the Dining Room?

Is the DR open for lunch on port days? What do they serve in contrast to the WJ?

 

How busy is Johnny Rockets on port days - or any other restaurant on board? Specifically looking at Majesty.

The dining room has a "set" luncheon menu, with daily specials. They have sandwiches (hot and cold), salads, soups, pasta bar, and whatever special for that day.

It makes a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the buffet, but you can't just put on a cover-up and go in your bathing suit.

Breakfast in the dining room is the best! Lunch is ok--I really prefer the dining room over the buffet.

I believe the dining room is open for lunch only on sea days, but open for breakfast every morning.

The question about port days has one of those "it depends" answers. It varies from ship to ship and I'm not sure who makes the decision but I've seen it both ways; that is we docked at 10:00am and luch was served in the dinning room and later that year on the same ship at the same port the dinning room was not open for lunch. Go figure

 

 

 

Best suggestion there is check the compass.

 

 

 

Johnny Rockets is a good lunch alternative for port days and usually isn't crowded.

The pasta bar is GREAT!! You can choose a white sauce or a red sauce and then pick what you want added to the sauce. I did not know about it until the last day so I only had it once but I still crave it! It was so yummy!!!! They make it for you and you have to wait a few minutes but it is worth the wait. :)
