Amethyst necklace -- suggestions for top/blouse please

I have an antique amethyst necklace I want to take on my cruise. Can't post a picture, but it is similar to this but in silver:

Its centre drop is below where having one shirt button unbuttoned would be... hope that makes sense.

 

Anyone have any suggestions for a shirt/blouse/top I could wear this with? I also have semi-matching earrings. Would like to stick with black pants, so would prefer a top that matches black pants.

What style of top are you comfortable in?

I would say a deep V (depending on your preference) and dressy

but not "too much" as you don't want to take away from the

pendant.

But I would look for a neckline that is open because that is

the showpiece:)
