What is Carnival's Ultimate Balcony Cabin?

Mary, we experienced the same problem with hearing the scraping of chairs from overhead. We had an aft wrap on the Triumph on Verandah deck; also just below the Lido deck. The plus side was that it was only one deck away from the food. ;-) DH loved that. This was the first cruise that we took all of our meals from the Lido. We fixed our plates and took them back to that large balcony and ate overlooking the water. Now that is my idea of relaxation. We spent a lot of time on that balcony. We gave the binoculars a work out too. We saw a double rainbow from our balcony!!

we booked the triumph for next feb. wraparound aft + 3 more aft cabins...is the noise really that bad....isnt the the deck above glassed off like the glory...any pics from back of ship...

Purr 30,

What cabin # was that on the Triumph? We are booked in an aft balcony, on the Victory, and I am trying to find out some info about those L-shaped balconies on that ship.

Did your balcony partition open? We were told that the L-shaped balcony cabins will not connect to the surrounding balcony cabins......does anybody know any different?

It was cabin 8427. Our room was not an L shaped. It was a HUGE room with a nice over sized balcony. Not bad since we booked a 8a gty. :D

There was no partition on ours. Just one long balcony.

Tom

It is lower private balcony for one of the two Garden Villas on the NCL Star ...

Once you go balcony, you will never go back!:)

We are taking our 1st Balcony ever we usually just book any inside cabin and spend more time doing things but we decided that it would be nice to have one so we have on the Legend cabin 7291 an extended balcony one.

I know it wont compare to those shown but still will be nice to wake up and go outside and have a coffee and danish

We actually had 8427 on the Victory in 2002. We had wanted a 9A with an aft wrap-around balcony but they wouldn't accommodate 4 people. 8427 did. The cabin was very large and the balcony was long, just not a wrap-around.

Tom, I keep looking at your picture. I believe the Spirit class aft wrap balcony is a little bigger than the similar one on the Triumph. I wonder if anyone knows the square footage of the two balconies for comparison purposes. Hmmm.

We have been in Cat 11 (Spirit) and Cat 9A (Conquest) class cabins. As I recall, the depth of the Cat 11 balcony seems deeper.

Perhaps I should take my tape measure to check the square footage of 6452 this Saturday!

The Spirit class wrap balconies are much bigger than the Destiny class wrap balconies. The Spirit class wrap balconies are over 200 sq ft. The Destiny wrap balconies are about 85 sq ft.

We have booked an aft wrap suite (5266) on the Miracle for January. We have heard that the deck 5 suites are different from the other 4 decks as they have fewer windows and one large room instead of a separate Living/Sleeping room. These suites as a whole appear to be the most desirable cabins on the ship with the large wrap balcony. Does anyone know from experience whether the deck 5 suites are as nice as the other decks. Though they are all sold out as of now, I would check for availability on other decks if they become available.

Aft wrap on Spirit class = 220 sq ft. Triumph aft wrap = 75 sq ft.

I have been on both a 9a wrap-around balcony on the Victory and an 11a wrap-around on the Pride. Both balconies were huge. The 9a was definitely bigger than 75 or 80 sq. feet. The 11a might have been a bit deeper but both wrap-arounds were really big.

Just returned from Carnival Pride aft wrap cabin 7298. Scary to see someone elses pictures of it. I feel invaded LOL.... No need for me to post my pictures of it. Just let me say we had 1 metal lounger, 1 metal chair with ajustable back, and one chair, one small table....

The cabin was awesome, even though we had a smut problem (no I left my porno at home). For some reason two days in a row the balcony was covered in oily soot. At first we had a problem getting it cleaned, but once we went to the pursers desk it was cleaned. Then the last two days not smut at all. I guess the engines were going through something.

My Better half and I have already reserved the same room on the Spirit for Alaska in 09..... These rock for size. But the covered cat 12s on Fantasy class rock for being the most private.... Unless someone sticks their head around...

I think our 9A aft wrap on Triumph's Verandah deck was bigger than 75 or 85 sf. That seems small; about like a standard balcony size. Ours looked similar to the Victory pix posted here, but smaller than the Spirit class pix posted. The Spirit class aft wrap balcony appears wider to me than any of the others I've seen posted, and wider than Triumph's for sure.

I like the Eastern Caribbean itinerary best. I think the Pride will be doing 7 days there summer 2009. I'll need to figure out which Carnival Pride aft wrap cabin is best. I prefer a non-covered balcony.

All this information has been great! Thanks everyone!

A standard balcony is about 40 sq ft (roughly 4x10). On the Spirit class an extended balcony is 60 sq ft (roughly 6x10).
