cruzduo Posted April 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2008 We have friends that have been at the Coral Reef Club. Does anyone know if you can get a day pass and the name of the beach? I think that it is on the west part of Barabdos.
Aplmac Posted April 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2008 We have friends that have been at the Coral Reef Club. Does anyone know if you can get a day pass and the name of the beach? I think that it is on the West part of Barabdos. ===> Yes. Coral Reef Club is sorta up-market, probably not too interested in hordes of cruisers, so I don't imagine they'd be into the day-pass thing. However I don't think they'd kick you out if you turned up in a civilized manner to sponsor their bar for a few hrs. I rather doubt they'd have a chair/umbrella-rental deal going ...in fact you might just see signs saying Chairs/umbrellas for registered guests only!! North of Colony Club is an equally exclusive type hotel called Colony Club, whose beach is nicer (they're more on the Bay -Coral Reef is on the headland, with little real beachfront of its own) and North again of Colony Club is the beach in front of J.C.Bamford's HERON BAY great house (used to belong to English MP Ronnie Tree) - all that beach is still fairly free and easy, I believe and you should be able to spread a towel for the day, but(again) I wouldn't plan on a chair to rent. Caveat: it's been awhile since I've hung out over on the West Coast, so none of this is gospel, okay? Things have recently got rather upmarket and snooty along 'The Gold Coast'(North of Holetown) with Public Accesses to the beaches being restricted now to narrow walkways just 6 ft. wide between fenced properties belonging to the rich and famous who've paid millions for their Bearbados Beachfront Bit.
