Could I wear these shoes with this skirt?

I like the skirt! I think the shoes would look good with it.

As for a top, I suppose one of the pinkish/brownish colors (it's kind of hard to see the exact colors on my monitor) that make up the design pattern.

Of course you can! The "color" looks pink or salmon--I'd take the skirt with me to shop for a top! You will want something to coverup the elastic waist!

I already have two black tops that go nicely but I want to find another color. The color is really like a gold and the other color on there is more of a pink but not a bright pink....kind of hard to explain.

Here's the link to the skirt.

Also, besides black what other color top do you think would work well with the skirt?

Thanks. :)

I like the shoes, but they look a bit "business-y" to me for evening. I would prefer a gold shoe, but that's just me. :)

Blouses: A pinky color to match the pink in the skirt, or a champagne/tan like this one, which would look good with the shoe you chose:

Here's a pink silk, also from Dillards:

I agree with Houndmom, the shoes in general are good but the print on the skirt is more "fun" than the shoes are.

If it were me I'd wear something like the ones featured on this page:

http://shoes.lovetoknow.com/Michael_Antonio_Shoes

but I know not everyone would wear a shoe like that.

It is not just would but could I wear that high a heel on a ship that is moving! Even clutching my husband's arm, I wouldn't make it.

Those are cute! I have plain gold ones that are similar, but these have much nicer detail!

At 5'2" I don't ever wear a skirt or dress without heels, but I guess if I had ankle trouble I'd have to, right?

How about something similar to the one I posted but with a kitten heel?

I do love my ballet flats with pants or jeans tho'.

Kinda OT, but...

Can you believe JELLIES are back!?!

AKK! I heard about Chanel making $300 Jellies but ya never think you'll actually see something like that, and having lived thru Jellies the first time around I was glad to see them go! LOL! Theeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyy'rrrrrrrrre baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaccckkkkk!

Who's gonna wear 'em???? NOT ME! LOL!

I'm 5'4", and prefer a heel, but the ankle can be really cranky from an old injury. I have some high heels I can wear, and some just hurt like heck. On cruises I like to stick to kitten or mid heels. Don't want to fall off my shoe in heavy seas...

JELLIES!!!!!!!!!!!! Eeeeeeee..... I remember those from the 80s. My stepdaughter had some when she was six that stunk to high heaven! Put them in the sun, and you'd practically pass out from this nasty plasticky smell.

I hated em then when they cost 2.99, and I hate em now when they cost 299.00... :p (but that's just me)

I think the shoes are fine assuming the skirt reaches the ground and isn't hitting above the shoes. They should "peek out" and not be the focus as the dress is so great. As for a top, black will work but if you want color I would go with same green as in the skirt. Salmon or pink can really wash some people out. I agree you REALLY should take the skirt shopping to see what matches perfectly. HAPPY SAILING! It, and YOU, will look great!

Those shoes are beautiful....but definitely too high for me. However, the other shoes that you posted the link too were great. I have a pair similar in black that I might wear.

The skirt is pretty long. It comes to around the ankles which for me is too long. I am going to have it shortened. I'm only 5 ft and long skirts don't look good.

I will have to take the skirt with me because it's very hard to match up with online shopping.

Hey Sakedad you sexy thang!

I didn't get the feeling that the skirt should be floor length...? Maybe b'c I couldn't wear anything that long...it'd swallow up my already not-long-enough legs!

You are right about pink/salmon washing people out. Then again if I wore the the green in that skirt near my face I'd look like I needed to barf overboard! If OP is tan (real or fake) then the pink would be looovely. But the green is much more subtle, so would be very nice too if her coloring allows for it.

How is that fluffy pretty girl Sake? I'm a sucker for a sweet pooch :)

Nope, I very rarely get tan. I have very fair skin and most of the time burn so I don't sit in the sun much. I don't have any cruise planned at the moment. I just bought the skirt because I liked it. :D

GOOD for you!!! :D

Well after you take the skirt shopping you'll have to post a pic of the entire outfit! The good thing is that the skirt has tons of possibilities so you will end up with a ton of options for it :) Then when you do plan a cruise, you'll have a few outfits all set already :)

I bought a lovely black blouse with that skirt but it must have sold out cause I can't find it anymore. I wanted to show you the picture of it.

I don't usually like to buy things online but Coldwater Creek seems to be very true to size. It's very fun to order on line but quite dangerous to the pockebook as well. In the past 2 weeks I must have ordered about 10 things. :D

Ohhh yes....I definitely am using the code. On one order I paid about $17 for a skirt and a blouse. Not the one I showed you, a different one and then I got a pair of black dress mules for $13 including the shipping using that code. Here's the picture of those shoes, if you would like to see.

LOL someone else just asked my about my little guy in another thread...

Yes that is my little man Spyro, he's a Yorkie Terrier, 6 years old, 7 pounds, had him since 8 weeks so he really is my little boy. He's THEE sweetest little man in the world, definitely a mama's boy. Not a yappy ankle biter, just a sweet little dude who just wants to be with people and get cookies. He loves everyone and everything, just wants to play and make ppl happy. I'm taking him to visit my hub's gram in the nursing home after lunch today, he makes the day of the folks who live there. In the works for getting him certified as a therapy dog :)

Ok, time to stop gushing about my little man...can't tell I dig him or anything, huh? LOL!

Go with a plain black or plain bronze sandal (low or high heel). Show off the skirt and it's beautiful pattern.

On top, wear a sleeveless or short sleeves black top and get a shawl that matches one of the colours in the skirt.

Well he is just so cute. :D If I ever got a dog, that would be the type. I love little dogs. They are like toys. Although my husband would want a big dog.

He would definitely make a great therapy dog.

Oh we had that fight...hub wanted a big dog and I wanted a little baby doggie. No more babies for us but I still had that mothering need--needed something to cuddle and rock and baby. We researched breeds and I won by pointing out to hub that bigger dogs mean bigger poops, longer walks, bigger exercise area, bigger smells, etc on and on. We spend summer weekends at an RV resort and a big dog in a 5th wheel would be a pain. Our little guy poops little tootsie rolls (sorry for TMI) and I walk him with a 12 ft lead tied around my waist, he thinks he's free as a bird with all that slack. A few times around our cul de sac 3-4 x day and he's got his exercise, he gets a bath in the kitchen sink once a month or so, more in summer, he sits on my lap wherever we go, and he just fits very nicely in our lifestyle, and I get to baby him and it really fills that mothering need that I have that my 13 yr old no longer appreciates! LOL!

I do loooooove meeting big dogs, but a big dog would never work with our coming and going lifestyle. I have a few different bags that Spy goes in, he's been in more stores and malls and places by sitting in his bag, no one says a word except to oooh and aaah about how sweet he is. I even have a pair of overall shorts that I wear just for Spy, for when we go to the park or mall or wherever-- he sits inside the top of my overalls in front of my chest and just his head and arms are out, wish I had a pic of that to post...so cute...

I highly recommend the Yorkie breed to anyone who wants a small sweet portable doggie and has the time to devote to him or her. They have a bad rep for being yappy and spastic, but I really think it's all about environment with them. Spy was trained not to just bark for no reason from the beginning and he wouldn't ever bite anyone, he's been socialized from the very beginning by going places with us including to my daughter's school for show and tell a bunch of times and after school to pick her up. Nothing like 25 pairs of 2nd grader hands to socialize a dog quickly!

AAAAAAAK sorry to go on about my little man AGAIN today, but he's really a little love and I wish everyone could have a little guy like him :)

I personally do not care for the first pair of shoes u chose, but do prefer the above mules with it better. I think the skirt is busy and does not need a 2 toned busy pair of shoes up against it. If you do go with a gold blouse (since is "in" right now). Then I too, if u don't want the all black) would go with a gold kitten heel type of shoe and gold accessories. JMO Have fun!

Sandi, with a skirt that full, I'd go with a fitted wrap top. Along the lines of this:
