Radiance 8000 and 7504

Recommended Posts

We are a family of 6 thinking about taking one family oceanview and one inside on Radiance of the Seas Alaska southbound. Has anyone stayed in either of these family ov's? 7504 is an irregular shape but looks bigger; 8000 would face the shore going southbound. Neither has a balcony. Any advice based on experience out there? Thanks....

Because neither has a balcony, there won't be much view--the windows are mainly for letting in light--they don't really provide much 'viewing pleasure'! You will need to be on an upper deck to see the things you've paid to see!

I'm aware of that and am trying to resign myself to it - accommodations for a family of six can get expensive. Question is whether one non-balcony family room is better than the other. Any thoughts?

These are pictures of Jewel of the Seas cabin 8504 Family Ocean View. We LOVED it!!! The window is very large and you had a great view! There are 2 seperate bedrooms... One master and the other with a twin and a pullman. The sofa was a pullout.

We weren't in a Family OV, but we were next door in an extra large OV (8004) once..... and loved it. The port hole there is enormous. I got in it to read sometimes! They are all the way forward and it was a bit of a hike to everything, just like the aft, but it was an enjoyable cabin. I would think the Family OV would be much larger and equally enjoyable.
