Cabs in Brooklyn pier

cinta

Recommended Posts

We have been to NYC a lot but never on a B2B TA. Are cabs easily available dockside & is it easy to get a cab back from Manhatten?

We are thinking of staying on the ship & having a lazy day, especially as we were last in NYC in January. What do you think?

We returned to US on QM2 last June after back to back cruises first Southampton RT through Norway, then Transatlantic. It is indeed a wonderful feeling at the end of the first cruise knowing you will be staying on this wonderful ship after others must disembark! In Brooklyn there is a choice of either cabs or sedan service...plenty available. Customs and immigration are very efficient in Brooklyn. We took a sedan to lower Manhattan to pick up a rental car...obviously you would be doing so for a different purpose...the point is that it is comparatively easy to leave the ship and access transportation from Brooklyn. Getting a taxi to return to the Brooklyn pier is likely fairly easy from most points in Manhattan...I base that on general experience traveling in New York, although I have never actually done so. Have a wonderful cruise!!
