Rare Lois R Posted April 27, 2008 #26 Share Posted April 27, 2008 We hang out with friends and family all the time at home. My husband and I both have very social jobs. We love meeting people around the ship and having cocktails or a chat with them, but dinner time is ours. This is our 20th anniversary and we want some alone time. Over dinner is a nice time to wind down from all of our excursions and just enjoy each other and some nice conversation. (Happy to still have that after 20 years!) Certainly everyone should do what they please on their vacation, just enjoy! I just don't want a loud table for two in a hallway or near the kitchen. If I get my wish, it will be a perfect trip! Hi,:) did you book through a Travel Agent? Call them back and make sure they put a request in for you and I would hope they know it is a special ocassion:) Happy 20th to you both:) If you booked through X I would call them back or call Capt's Club and do the same thing...let them know the circumstances and then, when you board the ship go see the Maitr'd. They are usually very helpful. I would tell you to please don't panic. Happy Anniversary and have a wonderful cruise:) Hi, try this number: 1-800-242-6374 and press option 2. nycglitter Posted April 27, 2008 #27 Share Posted April 27, 2008 My husband called and put our request in with a nice lady by the name of Virginia. She said she would do her best to accommodate our request. Only time will tell!:D
JoyFrances Posted April 27, 2008 #28 Share Posted April 27, 2008 Hi Dot Thank You. I called Captain's Club and put in a request for Table #500 for our group of 8 on the Infinity. We don't sail until June 20th so hopefully this is sufficient time for them to put through and honour the request. Joy
sasset Posted April 28, 2008 #29 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Don't want to be the wet blanket here, but several cruises ago we had a great table for four. We called the dining coordinator and requested it again (same ship - same itinerary). We ended up being assigned the same table number but it was in a different location...not as nice as what we expected. I am assuming that there are more set ups for eight and ten than twos and fours, so maybe there is a better chance that the larger tablle numbers are constant and they move the smaller tables aound as needed. Good luck on your request. Regards
JoyFrances Posted April 28, 2008 #30 Share Posted April 28, 2008 I mentioned Table #500 but also added that we wanted an aft 8-top by the windows. The rep said she would put it in that way. Joy
