What to do with luggage for a day in Vancouver ?

Recommended Posts

We are considering taking train from Vancouver to Seattle @ 6pm. after debarkation. What can we do with luggage all day? This has probably been asked ,but search is down.Thanks.

You can check it at either of the cruise terminals with CDS Baggage or take it to the Amtrak station and check it there. http://www.cdsbaggage.ca/CDS/Home.html

Thanks. If we rented a car in Vancouver for the day and took all the luggage to the Amtrak station, does anyone have any experience with returning the car near the station at the end of the day?I'll check the car companies as well, but it helps to get others experience and advice sometimes.Thanks.

The only car rental company that has a counter inside of the Pacific Central Station is Hertz, however you could drop your car off at another companies downtown location and cab it back, likely $10/15 or take SkyTrain $2.50 CDN pp.

On the other hand for beginning of cruise: Can we DROP a rental car at Canada Place kiosk? (Read on a Vancouver cruise info website that Avis, Budget & Natl have kiosks at Canada Pl.) Or are there any drop locations in nearby hotels, etc.

[We're renting car at SEA and driving into Vanc -- departing on cruise from Canada Place -- may be driving into downtown morning we embark.]

We are doing almost the same thing later this month except we are staying 1 night and the hotel will hold our luggage until the afternoon when we board Amtrak. If you wanted to leave bags with Amtrak while you explore the city, you may want to call Amtrak to verify they will accept your bags in the AM before your PM train (e.g. airlines won't accept bags more than X hours before flight time). Also, I've been advised you must keep your bags with you until you go thru Immigration and get your seat assignment.
