Allgeeteredup,

In answer to your question about how debarkation is handled when doing a back-to-back cruise--On the Miracle, there were about 17 people doing the back-to-back. They told us we could stay in the cabin until 10 a.m. We left all of our belongings in the cabin. We had talked to our cabin steward, and he knew we would be on the cruise for another 8 days. They then asked us to meet in the atrium area of the ship. By that time, most of the other guests were off of the ship. One of the officers collected our Sail and Sign cards and gave us new ones for the following week. He then escorted the group off the ship into the customs area. We walked by the customs officer, but no one asked us any questions. We were then escorted back onto the ship.

The two I did in a row on the Triumph were slightly different.

First time I was the last off. Had to go to customs, hand custom card to officer. Than was taken back on the ship. They than handed me my New S&S card and took photo on the ship. I handed my CC to purser to run for new cruise.

Second time, there were five of us. We were almost the last off, they were still looking for three guest. We had to ping-pong off this time. Took us to customs. Still looking for three guest. Took us to the customs officer to check passport and take custom cards. Still looking for three guest. Finally let us back on as the couldn't find the three guest anywhere on the ship.

I asked when I reboarded what happened this time. The officer said three guest hadn't ping-ponged some how and were nowhere on the ship. Homeland said they couldn't clear until they zeroed.

I used to love sea days. Now I go for port days and stay on the ship when everyone gets off;)
