ptater Posted May 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Are the restrooms western style or more rustic?
Rare cruisemom42 Posted May 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2008 The restrooms just outside the entrance were quite nice (by tour standards) and definitely Western style. Just don't count on toilet paper being available -- bring your own. I also seem to recall that there was a small charge to use them.
mountainmare Posted May 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2008 There is a small charge--our guide gave us the correct TL, since had not converted any money.
I&MsMom Posted May 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2008 There are no restrooms inside Ephesus itself. As others have mentioned, there are some at the entrance, and there are others on the other end, where there is a small area with shops and a place to get refreshments. CAT GIRL Posted May 1, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2008 You didn't ask but there are some nice restrooms at the House of the Virgin Mary. It was well shaded and just a lovely spot. I bought most of my souveniors there.
Rusty Posted May 2, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 2, 2008 Actually, looking at the ruins of the restrooms at the site shows how advanced they were for the time.
