Icy Strait Point Shore Excurisons?

This will be my first cruise to Alaska and I am interested in shore excurisons in ICP. I know from reading the boards that an independent tour is the way to go and we are going whale watching in Juneau with Harv&Marvs. There are no restrictions on our group of 8, so any suggestions would be truly appreciated!
