We are looking at the Ryndam for cruise tour 20 that does two days in denali and ayleska, the cruise portion is southbound from seward, is port or starboard better for viewing hubbard glacier? Also does anyone have any S suite photos? I am most curious about how large the balcony is. Last do you know if on the land portion any meals are included? thanks Blake

Our experience has been port side is better. The S suite balconies are very large-there is a good size table with four chairs, a lounge, etc. Very comfortable for six people but will hold more.

I agree about port side, although I've experienced the approach and time at Hubbard outdoors on deck. I recommend the same for everyone---even those with a balcony. At least on a good-weather day.

The approach to Hubbard is grand, and then you get to the glacier itself. Magnificent. It's out of doors that you can best appreciate it's size.

The ship usually spends more time at the glacier with the port side facing it.
