Carnival Players Club PostCard!

rdrseller

Recommended Posts

OK, We have been in contact with the Ocean Players Club and have money waiting for us on our upcoming Glory Cruise for the BRING A BUDDY offer and then were e-mailed that DH and I would each have $75 additional funds.

Today we each received a post card saying fill out the online sign up and get $50 for your next cruise.

Didn't realize that we could collect from both the old OPC and the new CPC. Anyone else getting these mailers for an upcoming cruise and also have received info from OPC as well?

I will be taking all the e-mails and offers and will expect to receive all funds. Just find it weird that we got something from both.

Any info appreciated.

How did you know you were going to get all of this? When I signed up on my upcomming cruise this was all the info I got back. On past cruises we have given the casino plenty! The e-mail said OPC with (Carncorp) and i never saw a postcard!

From: "Ocean Players Club Feedback (Carncorp)" <OceanPlayersClubFeedback@carnival.com>

Hi

Thanks for contacting the Ocean Players Club!

We're glad to hear your sailing again! We have placed you on our OPC guest list for your upcoming sailing. Hope you have a great cruise, and the best of luck while spending time in the Casino!

Best Regards,

Ocean Players Club

I signed up with the OPC last October prior to our Elation cruise. Somewhere here there is a thread about the prior Ocean Player's Club now becoming Carnival Player's club. This week I received the post card telling me if I gave them my E-mail address and it gave instructions on how to do that, I would get $50 casino credit for our next cruise, which happens to be on the Elation once again, May 31. I did as instructed and received and E-mail back with a URL to click on, which brought me right to the coupon to print out, which I now have with my paperwork to bring on our cruise.

I am wondering if, since the old OPC is now the Carnival Player's club, if the credit you are supposed to receive for the "Bring a Buddy" promo will be void. I'm not saying it will, but logic tells me if one club has now changed hands, so to speak, it's like whatever it promised might not be valid. However I would, like you will be doing, take all the paper work you have and see what happens.

Mom/Dad Both Got A Letter And $50 Casino Bonus

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday Mom & Dad both got a letter in the mail from Carnival Casino asking them to sign up with their email address and the next cruise they go on they will each receive $50 if they go to the Casino Cage with ID...

Of course, I wanted $50 too so I inquired. I was told that now that Carnival is actually going to be taking over in the Casino, they mailed out letters to past cruisers who have joined the Ocean Players Club BUT whose (sp) email addresses they didn't have on file... Since mine is already on file, I don't get a letter, I don't get the $50 and I don't qualify.

But, needless to say, Mom & Dad sent in their email addresses and are thrilled to be getting $100 on our July 14 Paradise cruise....

So, if you were an Ocean Players Club Member but didn't give them your email address, keep checking your mailbox!!!

I got the same post card and followed the same steps but the url I got comes up with an error page. I called OPC and they just said to keep trying. Still not working. Can anyone please help?

Thank you for the link. I registered both my DH and myself with our email addresses and received an email for the credit. This will come in handy on our cruise in September!

Thanks again!

what do you do if you have not received and OPC number yet?

I put in 9 zeros and it worked...I received a coupon via email and clicked onto the link and there was $100 casino credit I could print out. Did it for both DH and myself. That will help a little on the next cruise :D

Hi Mich6674!

Thank you for the link. As others have already stated, I was able to plug in, using 9 zero's as an account number. All I have to do is hang on to this paper coupon. (I saved the e-mail, just in case my old brain forgets to take the coupon with us!)

How did you know you were going to get all of this?

The Bring A Buddy Promotion was for limited time, I believe. I sent an e-mail and told them of our up coming cruise and got the same e-mail as you. Then I read on the OPC web page about the B-A-B promo and sent in that information and they sent back an e-mail about the $100 for the additional cabins. Then I read here on CC about someone getting cash in the casino when they boarded and all I did was write them again and gave them the information from our past cruise and asked what we may be entitled to? They replied back that they had us down for an additional $75 per person.

Then we got post cards. My husband thinks now we will only get the last $50, but I have all the e-mail correspondence and I fully expect to get all of it.

Good Luck to everyone!:)

I have an answer for those wondering about the member number. The actual postcard I received did indeed have a number above the name and address label and the instructions said to use that when signing up for the coupon, which is what I did. I know with the OPC sight to send an E-mail, letting them know of a future cruise, I read here to put in the all 9's, as like all of you, I also never received a member, and I did ask on our October Elation cruise. Was told that they don't have separate cards that just use your Sign and Sail card in the machines and that is how they track you.

It would be so much easier if, like land casinos, they issued the Player's cards at the casinos on the ship, but then I guess that would be an added expense that they don't want to go with.

It would be nice if any of you, sailing before May 31, which is when we go on the Elation, to report back if you had and trouble getting your casino cash for giving them your E-mail. I will try very hard to remember, when I return to let you all know how it worked for me.

In order to receive this credit, do you need to be a previous member of the Ocean Players Club? I don't spend enough time or money in the casino and never thought to register. I bring my roll of quarters and run the whole $10 through in the slot machines. It takes me all of about 30 seconds to lose it:D However, if the cruise line is giving me $100 I would just as soon lose their money! Do I need to sign up before I can apply for this credit?

"I did ask on our October Elation cruise. Was told that they don't have separate cards that just use your Sign and Sail card in the machines and that is how they track you. "

We ask them the same question when we contact the Players Club. Told them that we were told when we were on the Glory last November, that all we had to do was use our sail and sign card and that was the only players card we needed.

Those of you who are members of the Players Club, how did you do so?

Thanks!

sallwee,

The best I can recall is last October I went to the Ocean Player's club sight and sent an E-mail to them telling them I had previously sailed with Carnival and was going to be again. Got back and E-mail, as lot have that my name was on some list. When I was in the casino one night I spoke with the hostess and told her I had E-mailed and that is when she explained to just us the Sail and Sign card in the machines. We got no recognition perks, such as some have mentioned getting. Oh along with that E-mail I sent to them, I included my Carnival past guest number and my address and phone number, as I always do so they would know I was legit.

We asked in September about OPC, and was told that they were no longer doing it, and we were on Glory. In Feb, i asked on Sensation, and got the card to fill out and turn back into them. then about a month after we got home, we received and email welcoming us. I have already sent our info for our next cruise. And thanks to the website, i just got the 100$ coupon for both my DH and myself. woohoo. 100 of free play. cool..... I can handle that.

I don't believe there are actual member numbers (I've been a member on the past 10+ cruises and never had a number). I just put in 9 zeros

I was able to go through (with the 9 zeros) and ended up with what appeared to be a certificate to present for $100.

This, however, was an e-mail response from my contact at OPC (after asking if I was eligible):

Hi Tom!

I do apologize but you and Cheryl are not eligible for these offers. You will both be receiving an e-mail offer around June. These offers are a targeted promotion to gain e-mails of guests whom have not given us their e-mails once they sign-up. You guys will be receiving offers through e-mail very shortly, be patient!!

So - evidently it is not a guarantee. Time will tell if they will actually honor all of these certificates in the casino...

Yeah, Tom, I figured as much, which is why I'm taking my postcard along as well, to show that I was offered. I'm sure that if these ineligable coupons start showing up, some other form of ID will be required, hence why I'm taking the post card with me also. My husband didn't get a post card, but I entered the code on my card for him and it says it went through, however I have my doubts, and am prepared to be given a polite that he isn't worthy, although we both used our Sail and Sign cards in the machines when we gambled in the casino, and they didn't have his E-mail address on file. :)

Here you go, this is the link I used to sign up.

Thanks for the link. We now have 100.00 for me and 100.00 for DH on our cruise next April. We will have to give it to the casino the first or second night because they expire on may 1st. But who cares. That is 200.00 for casino money that I do not have to come up with.
