miyucruises Posted May 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2008 I am wondering about the process with Florida marriage licenses. We are getting married on the Carnival Imagination in November. I sent in our license application, copies of our passports, and copies of both of our divorce decrees, along with 2 money orders. I did all this over 2 weeks ago. When should I hear something back. Also, what is the next step?
6rugrats Posted May 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2008 I am not clear as to what you are asking. Marriage licenses in Florida are only valid for sixty days, so one has not been issued yet for your November wedding.
miyucruises Posted May 18, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted May 18, 2008 I'm confused. I was told I needed to fill out the application and send everything in to Carnival Weddings and that I would get back some more paperwork that we would have to sign and then the license would be there when we got to Florida. flhokie Posted May 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2008 They'll probably send you the application for license to sign. I'm not sure when they'll do this since the license is only valid for 60 days. Ours was different because we got married at sea on Princess (Bermuda license). We submitted all of that information and, besides a confirmation that TWE had received it, we didn't hear anything more on it until the day we boarded the ship.
